A growing consultancy and business services company operating in Libya, providing professional services across sectors including security, logistics, and training. The company works with local and international clients and is focused on expanding its business opportunities and client base in the Libyan market.

Your Mission as a Business Development Officer:

Your mission is to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and managing potential projects, tenders, and commercial leads from initial contact through to proposal and closing.

You will conduct market research, develop and manage the sales pipeline, follow up with clients and opportunities, and support the company in achieving its business development goals and KPIs. The role requires strong communication, commercial awareness, initiative, and the ability to work independently in a results-oriented environment.

You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as a Business Development Officer:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prospective clients, projects, and tenders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including international and expatriate clients.
• Conduct market research and monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities in Libya.
• Identify key decision-makers and develop targeted client, sector, and opportunity pipelines.
• Manage and continuously update the sales pipeline and business opportunities.
• Proactively follow up on leads, enquiries, meetings, proposals, quotations, and pending opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and client submissions.
• Attend client meetings, networking events, and relevant industry engagements while representing the company professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of clients, contacts, leads, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
• Prepare regular sales and business development reports and provide updates on pipeline progress and KPIs.
• Take ownership of business development activities, independently identify opportunities, and drive the sales pipeline toward measurable results.
• Work closely with management and operational teams to ensure opportunities are commercially viable and deliverable.

Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as a Business Development Officer:

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, client relationship management, or a similar role.
• Strong sales skills with practical understanding of pipeline and opportunity management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and follow-up skills.
• Professional email writing and client communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and people skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with a strong sense of initiative.
• Ability to work effectively with KPIs and focus on achieving measurable business results.
• Good working proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, logistics, security, training, consultancy, diplomatic, or international business environments is an advantage.

• Working Days & Hours: Sunday to Thursday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
